My book in the London College of Fashion Library — a milestone that connects industry practice with academic learning.
Back in 2005–2006, while working with a British buyer in Romania, I was encouraged to apply for an online program at the London College of Fashion. At that time, the idea of studying fashion academically felt like a natural step to complement my professional work.
However, life had other plans. Between procedural hurdles and a career move to China, I never completed the application. For years, it felt like a path left unexplored.
Today, that journey has come full circle in a way I could never have imagined: my book, Manufacturing Excellence and Quality Management in Sustainable Fashion Apparel, is now officially part of the London College of Fashion library collection, serving students and researchers as an academic resource.

London College of Fashion is part of the University of the Arts London (UAL), one of the world’s most prestigious institutions in art, fashion, and design. In 2025, UAL was ranked number 2 in the world for Art and Design by QS World University Rankings and number 4 in the world for Fashion by CEOWORLD Magazine.
For me, having my work on their shelves represents more than just an academic placement. It feels like the continuation of a journey that started over two decades ago, now transformed into knowledge shared with new generations of students.
Manufacturing Excellence and Quality Management in Sustainable Fashion Apparel examines how operational excellence, lean manufacturing, and sustainability principles can be applied within the apparel industry.
At London College of Fashion, it is catalogued under subjects such as clothing trade, sustainable methods in the clothing trade, lean manufacturing, and quality control. These areas highlight its academic relevance not only for fashion but also for broader discussions in sustainability, supply chain management, and quality-driven business models.
The book provides a bridge between academic theory and real-world application, making it a valuable reference for both students and industry professionals.
Beyond London College of Fashion, my books are accessible as academic resources through the library networks of leading universities worldwide. This includes:
My second book, Industrial Leadership: Driving Transformative Change, Inspiring Success, is also accessible through the MIT library network, McGill University, and others, reinforcing my belief that knowledge in leadership and innovation is just as essential to transformation as technical expertise.
What once felt like a missed opportunity has now evolved into something far more meaningful. Seeing my books placed in the collections of world-class institutions is a reminder that ideas can travel further than we ever expect.
Sometimes the contributions we make reach people not in the moment we first imagine, but at the time when they are most needed.
